"I Love Your House"
Our back door is a little tricky and somehow the key wasn't working when Tevita returned from work at 6:30 this morning so I was awakened by a little knock on the window. Our front door is now our main entrance until we can make our fifth trip to Home Depot. Shang needed his morning release so Tevita and I were both standing on the front porch talking. A gentleman jogging by caught us by surprise by suddenly yelling up to us, "I Love Your House." My initial thought was that of enthusiasm and "So Do I," but I responded with a simple thank you. He continued with his praise for Sears Roebuck houses and his amazement about the idea of catalog housing. It's wonderful to know that our joy of this home is shared with so many others.
So to say the least, Tevita and I are thrilled with our new home. The move went smoother than I thought was possible. Our furniture fits perfectly in this new space, which makes me realize it was stuffed into our old apartment. There are still a few boxes that need to be unpacked and pictures that need to be hung on the wall, but we are almost there. Thank you to everyone who gave a helping hand. We are so grateful.
Last night we took a short walk to the local Dairy Queen for an ice cream. I wore a new shirt that my Mother bought me showing my support for the neighborhood.
Congratulations to Heather & Gene!
Another Adriana in this world is a good thing.
Love,
Adrianne
