Full Circle
I feel like I've come full circle.
Okay - full circle with a twist.
Meaning that I originally had my goals set on social work for my future career. Then I caught the travel bug and needed to experience life from another point of view. After what seemed like a long readjustment period, I'm now back on my path. In a week I will begin an outreach social work position working with the blind community. I am beyond excited about this opportunity. The twist to this coming full circle is that obviously you can't return to that original point of view. It's impossible. And as I'm approaching the big 3 0, I realize that I wouldn't want to go back. I'm loving these moments right now.
In addition to my new opportunity, Tevita is ridding his own wave these days. He accepted a position working for a welding company and will also begin classes to attain his welding certificate. I'm excited for his artistic ability to be released and for him to be doing something that he enjoys. Somehow this move into a new home has brought about a positive change for the both of us.
Okay so I'm posting this picture from my time in Tonga where I was tediously washing all my clothes by hand. This is to follow the full circle theme with stating that we just purchased a new washer/dryer for the house. I found a washer that clearly states HAND WASH CYCLE. As I did my first load and pushed the simple button I remembered my days of past. Once again - I wouldn't want to go back in time.
Smile for the sake of it.
Love,
Adrianne
